NLFA Week 6 Final: Lumberjacks Shut Out Roughnecks, 22-0
Despite a rocky first half, the Lumberjacks found their rhythm and delivered a dominant second-half performance to shut out the Roughnecks, 22-0, in Week 6 action.
The Lumberjacks’ offense came alive after halftime, with key contributions from a trio of dynamic playmakers. Quarterback #1 Derrick Banks Jr led the charge, while #5 Ja Taylor and #8 Chris Williams made big plays to keep the chains moving. #11 Jamarion Buggs also came through with two big catches to keep the Roughnecks' defense on its heels.
On the other side of the ball, the Lumberjacks’ defense put on a clinic, keeping the Roughnecks scoreless. #8 Chris Williams shined on both sides of the ball, while #7 Kinginfinite Allah and #5 Ja Taylor each made impact plays that helped shut down any momentum from the opposing offense.
For the Roughnecks, #5 Jadan Williams and rookie #4 Antonio Walker stood out with solid performances on offense, despite the tough defensive pressure. On defense, veterans and newcomers alike showed promise — #14 Matt Brothers, #13 KJ Williams (Rookie), and #4 Antonio Walker (Rookie) each made key stops throughout the contest.
The Lumberjacks look to build on this momentum as the regular season winds down, while the Roughnecks season ends and the remaining teams prepare for Week 7.
