
NLFA Week 5 Recap: Roughnecks vs. Bombers Ends in 14–6 Battle
Week 5 brought the heat as the Roughnecks and Bombers clashed in a gritty, hard-fought matchup that ultimately ended in a 14–6 victory for the Bombers.
Despite being picked off three times, Roughnecks QB #3 Ethan Ortiz showed resilience, connecting on a 72-yard touchdown bomb to WR #14 Matt Brothers — a play that gave the Roughnecks life and had fans on their feet.
The Bombers, who got off to a late start, found a spark on defense thanks to #17 Imere Moten, who came up big in key moments to help lock down the win. Another two-way standout for the Bombers, #16 Sedrick Young Jr, made his presence felt on both sides of the ball, dishing out damage whether on offense or defense.
